Nova Carcavelos Rooftop
Contacto Atlântico took advantage of the nearly year round sunshine to compliment the design of the Nova Carcavelos Rooftop.
The Nova Carcavelos Rooftop takes place in a unique location. Just a few meters away from the largest beach between Lisbon and Cascais, and 15 m above the sea, without any other architecture around but the XVI century São Julião distinguished military fort.
The main objective of the project was to make the client feel the powerful soul of the Atlantic coast. For this, the surface is covered by white and black patterned Portuguese tiles on the inside area and by warm wooden list on the outside one. The bar counter is coated by tiles too, this time in a monochrome brilliant dark tone, giving a sophisticated touch to space. The complements as chairs, tables and lamps help also to create this elegant but Atlantic chilling atmosphere through its materials: raffia, black lacquered steel and light wood.
But if there is a main character in this scene, it is without any doubt the magnificent 270º view to the infinite ocean and the Portuguese sun which are making this terrace one of the favorite places for the viveurs of the area. Let’s do not forget that it is located on the Estoril coast, where, in media, the sun delights more than 300 days per year.
