Leavened Bakery
Bialosky Cleveland mixed warmth and lightness with windows, materials, and a fireplace to give Leavened Bakery a welcoming atmosphere for a short or long stay in Cleveland.
Leavened, a new artisan bakery in Cleveland’s east side, occupies the ground floor of The Tappan, a four-story, 95-unit development. The bakery sits at a breezeway and is surrounded in full-height glass, which exhibits its bright modern interior to pedestrians. Inspired by the neighborhood’s rich history in textile manufacturing, surfaces and materials borrow from the concept of weaving – including chevron patterned tile. An angular wood ceiling brings warmth and dimension to the bakery space. The daylit space is supplemented with a mixture of neutral pendant lights.
