Elektrownia Powiśle Food Hall
The design of Elektrownia Powiśle Food Hall by vsf-creative involved converting the ground floor of a former coal-fired electricity generating plant into a 600-seat food hall with a post-industrial theme and a focus on recycling.
As part of the more extensive redevelopment of a redundant coal-fired electricity generating plant on the banks of the River Wisła in central Warsaw as a mixed-use scheme, the ground floor of the turbine hall has been converted into 600-seat food hall, with 17 food concepts and three separate bars. As well as all the fixed elements, a large proportion of the loose furniture was purpose-designed and produced, contributing to the post-industrial theme and the strong undertone of recycling used throughout the hall.
