Toloa Rooftop Bar
TOLOA Rooftop in McAllen is a project defined by a fusion of cutting-edge design and elegant materials, creating an exceptional dining experience with vaulted ceilings, wood and simulated concrete elements, and a variety of atmospheres created by Taller David Dana.
TOLOA is an innovative Rooftop project located in McAllen, Texas. It is defined by the fusion of cutting-edge design elements and elegant materials that immerse customers in an exceptional dining experience and elevated atmosphere.
Upon entering the project, the user is greeted by a grand welcome hallway with walls that create subtle sloping lines. As the guests walk down this hallway, they experience a sense of mystery and exclusivity, generating an intriguing perspective that invites them to explore the space.
At first instance, TOLOA offers a modern and vibrant mixology area, featuring a polished concrete counter with wood accents and indirect lighting, which adds an element of surprise to the view. This space serves as a vestibule for the second dining area designed for 53 people and is connected through a series of revolving doors that enhance the openness or privacy of this area based on the required level of privacy.
One of the main features of the project is the vaulted ceilings that envelop the user in a timeless and majestic feeling. Inside, the project stands out for its use of wood and simulated concrete. Warm and timeless wood is used for wainscoting on walls and ceilings, as well as in the furniture. Solid and contemporary concrete complements the material palette, creating a contrast of tones and playing with shadows through its textures.
The lighting design is a fundamental part of the project, creating a variety of atmospheres through indirect or pinpoint lighting that highlights the quality and beauty of the materials. Similarly, the furniture becomes an extension of the project’s essence. Finished in high-quality leather, the seating and lounge areas invite visitors to relax and enjoy their stay. The use of leather adds a touch of sophistication and elegance, complementing each design element perfectly.
The use of glass generates reflections inside and provides a sense of spaciousness, visually connecting the restaurant with the outdoor terrace. This outdoor area is designed to provide a social gathering space, allowing visitors to enjoy the surroundings while maintaining a connection with the warm interior.
TOLOA Rooftop is much more than a terrace-bar; it is a haven in the heart of McAllen that has taken care of every detail to provide an unparalleled experience for those seeking beauty, elegance, and privacy in a unique environment.
