The Hoxton, Portland
Located in Portland’s historic Old Town Chinatown, The Hoxton, Portland was designed by Ennismore Design Studio as the hotel brand expands to the United States from its London roots.
After much anticipation, The Hoxton, Portland officially opened its doors November 12th. This marks the second U.S. outpost of The Hoxton brand, which is based in London, & has a rapid North American expansion plan with two further US openings in 2019 including The Hoxton, Chicago and The Hoxton, Downtown LA.
Located in an iconic building that dates back to 1906 in Portland’s historic Old Town Chinatown, The Hoxton, Portland features 119 rooms, two restaurants including a rooftop with incredible views of the city, a cocktail bar, lively public spaces, and The Apartment — a unique meeting and events space that’s home to The Hoxton’s rolling cultural events program, highlighting the good and the great in each city.
The Rooms
The 119 bedrooms, designed by Ennismore Design Studio, are inspired by the NorthWest modernism movement, which was popular on the West Coast in the 1960s, and are spread across four categories: Shoebox, Snug, Cosy, and Roomy. All are flooded with natural light, with many having large floor-to-ceiling windows and sprawling city views.
Cleverly designed to make the most of the space, each guest room is decked out with rich walnut panelling and mid-century touches, plus artwork selected by Upfor, ceramics by Clay Factor and bookshelves curated by our Hox Friends. Each and every room features an outrageously comfortable bed, walk-in shower, wardrobe, along with the usual Hox perks: free water, WiFi, one hour of free calls to anywhere in the world, a mini fridge for you to stock from our reception shop with local products at supermarket prices, and a daily “emergency” breakfast bag delivered to your door.
