ONA Restaurant
MAG studio designed ONA in Hong Kong with Mediterranean inspiration, creating a relaxing seaside bistro ambiance with curved doorways and earthy tones reminiscent of the region.
An immersive gourmet journey through the Mediterranean begins as the undulating waves. Named after the Spanish word for wave, Linc cultivates a leisurely and comfortable ambiance. The interior design shows hues, textures, and patterns inspired by the Mediterranean characteristic, making ONA a distinctive seaside bistro. With the interplay of sea breeze and light and shadow, one is immersed in relaxation, swaying soul with the waves.
Our goal was to create an ambiance of relaxation and hospitality while utilizing the natural to maximize sunlight penetration and meet the spatial needs of different atmospheres. Linc employs different curved doorways to delineate areas with varying spatial atmospheres. Numerous windows allow natural light to permeate the interior, minimizing reliance on artificial lighting. The ingress of sunlight complements the golden hues within the space.
MAG Studio begins the project by considering how the Mediterranean elements can frame the specific experience. Every detail is considered in how to immerse guests in a holiday ambiance. Emphasize tactile textures and earthy tones as the predominant color. The addition of gold elevates the sunshine feeling. ONA is not merely a restaurant, it is a culinary haven and sanctuary for relaxation, allowing guests to luxuriate in sun-drenched tranquility.
