Ambra Restaurant
Legeard Studio‘s Ambra project in NYC’s West Village draws inspiration from Botticelli’s art, featuring a feminine, vibrant design with amber hues, Italian influence, and greenery focal points.
Ambra, the new Italian restaurant project from award-winning architecture and interiors firm, Legeard Studio is located within the heart of NYC’s West Village and exudes a fresh, floral essence. From the exterior into the inviting interior, vibrant greenery is the main focal point. Known for creating timeless, impactful designs at the convergence of art, architecture, and technology, Legeard Studio drew inspiration for Ambra’s design from the Renaissance period Italian artist, Botticelli and his most famous art piece, Primavera. The resulting space is lively and feminine.
The goal for Ambra’s interior design was to draw influence from its namesake, with amber hues present throughout the space. Legeard also integrated Italian influence while keeping the integrity of downtown New York City, with a wood centric design focused on classic quality, minimalism and comfort. The restaurant features oversized front and side glass windows, standard for the Hudson Street aesthetic, which frame the picturesque West Village neighborhood Ambra now calls home.
