The Bread Bar
The Bread Bar in Mumbai aims to create a modern, connected café with flexible spaces created by Anushka Shetty Architecture, incorporating vibrant textiles, natural elements, and a focus on curvilinear design elements.
The Bread Bar intends to be a part of the new wave of modern cafes, a space people feel connected to, a flexible space adapted to the daily needs of its regular customers. This vibrant and inviting brunch cafe embodies the warmth and energy of a sunny day. The textiles and patterns used are striped upholstery, natural fiber lights and planters in earthy tones and a whimsical wallpaper featuring an illustration of baked goods and sunny landscapes. The key design features include a curvilinear coffee counter clad with pixelated tiles in shades of orange representing the brand colors, large communal table for group brunches and events and cozy nooks and crannies for intimate gatherings. A larger than life alphabet “B” adorns the back of the long sofa seating in conjunction with our intentions of creating a fluidic visual language for the space. By combining vibrant colors, cozy textures and natural elements, we’ve designed a space that makes the user feel happy, relaxed and ready to take on the day.
