PIMS Tea Cafe at Dubai Hills
PIMS Tea Cafe at Dubai Hills maintains their brand through a fluid, desert-inspired design by KIDZ Studio with natural textures, bright atmosphere, and signature features.
This project represents the evolution of the flagship PIMS concept from Dubai Mall, thoughtfully adapted to a smaller, more intimate space in Dubai Hills. The primary design goal was to emphasize the brand, enhance its recognition, and create a comfortable, inviting venue for people from nearby offices to enjoy a refreshing drink within an enveloping interior.
A key element of the PIMS identity is the seamless fluidity of its interior forms, which has been carefully preserved in this new space. Sharp angles have been replaced with smooth, rounded transitions—blurring the boundaries between walls, ceilings, and façades. This approach fosters a sense of softness and harmony, encapsulating the signature ambiance of the PIMS brand.
Inspired by the desert, the design incorporates natural tones and textures that reflect its unique character. Textured plaster walls with horizontal grooves mimic wind-sculpted sand dunes, while the warm, neutral palette evokes the life and cultural heritage of the desert—not as barren or lifeless, but as a warm and familiar fsource of identity. Carefully selected materials reinforce this connection, adding an organic and tactile quality to the space.
Dubai Hills location embraces natural light, streaming in through expansive windows to create a bright, airy atmosphere. This infusion of sunlight highlights the interplay of textures, enhancing the perception of space and deepening the connection to the environment. The result is an organic yet sophisticated ambiance that aligns perfectly with the PIMS brand ethos.
Despite its smaller footprint, the PIMS Dubai Hills location retains signature features like sandy textures and the refined contrast of matte metallic panels. The result is a space that stays true to the brand’s DNA while offering a fresh, tailored experience perfectly suited to its new environment.
