Located in Bharuch, Gujarat, “All Eyes on Me” is a thoughtfully designed restaurant that seamlessly blends rustic charm with modern elegance. The design harmonizes exposed brickwork with contemporary elements to craft a visually striking yet inviting atmosphere, perfect for intimate gatherings and larger celebrations alike.
The client envisioned a dining space that balanced modern aesthetics with the rich character of the existing architecture. The result is a design that respects the building’s history while incorporating contemporary touches. The theme revolves around rustic materiality paired with sleek modern finishes, with exposed brick walls and warm decor highlighting the structure’s heritage.
The restaurant accommodates up to 98 guests across varied seating arrangements, including cosy round tables, window-side seating, communal setups with smaller tables, and a private dining area. This private space, featuring a traditional communal table, is ideal for family gatherings or formal meetings and can host up to 20 guests. The dining area features marble tabletops paired with handcrafted wooden chairs, blending Scandinavian influences with functional design. Window seating and a spacious lounge area further enhance the guest experience, fostering relaxed conversations and communal dining.
A central feature is the massive arched brick wall, which elegantly divides the lounge from the main dining area. This element adds architectural drama while maintaining visual openness, creating distinct zones without compromising the overall cohesion of the space. Veneer wall cladding, white brick walls, and an open ceiling concept lend simplicity and sophistication to the interiors, ensuring a chic yet approachable ambiance.
The material palette celebrates a harmonious interplay between rustic textures and contemporary finishes. Exposed brick walls, partially revealed by peeling back layers of plaster and paint, provide a raw, authentic character. Veneer cladding complements the rustic brickwork, while marble tabletops and handcrafted wooden chairs evoke Scandinavian elegance. The open ceiling design adds an industrial touch, grounding the space while fostering a premium aesthetic.
The exterior facade adopts a classical architectural style, enhancing the restaurant’s visual appeal and reflecting its culinary sophistication. This design choice establishes a connection between tradition and modernity, serving as a visual metaphor for the dining experience offered within.
A significant challenge was integrating the raw materiality of the space with the desired premium aesthetic. Stripping back layers of plaster and paint to reveal the original brick walls required meticulous planning to balance authenticity with cohesion. Veneer cladding and white brick walls were incorporated to unify the space while maintaining its rustic charm. The open ceiling concept presented another opportunity to embrace industrial elements while adding warmth through Scandinavian-inspired handcrafted furniture.
“All Eyes on Me” is a harmonious convergence of rustic charm and modern sophistication, offering an inviting atmosphere that fosters connection and conversation. The design reflects the vibrant culinary journey within, providing guests with a memorable and visually enriching dining experience.
