Ste Marie breathes new life into the iconic guest lobby and 1927 cocktail lounge at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, infusing it with fresh vibrancy while honouring its storied past. Recalling the opulence of the Roaring 20s every detail nods to the jubilance and elegance that was typical of that time while adding a sense of locality and warmth that is synonymous with the Rosewood name.

The heartbeat of this project lies in the revival of the legendary lobby lounge. Through a deep appreciation of heritage and legacy, Ste Marie seamlessly blends vintage inspiration with contemporary eclectic flair. Meticulously curated, from moody marbles to plush velvets, warm saturated woods to punches of colourful textile, every aspect of the space is rich in detail and the effect is an underscore of muted luxury.

Anchored by a new cocktail bar, the lobby lounge now offers an expanded variety of considered, intimate seating areas, inviting guests to linger and indulge in the timeless charm of Hotel Georgia.

A full complement of bespoke custom furnishings produced by artisan makers in Europe helps uphold the standard of craft and design excellence the property boasts. Rich fluted wood detailing offset from embedded brass scrollwork and finished with soft upholsteries in crushed velvets and rich leathers, these seating areas cocoon the guests within a backdrop of unique archival objects and a diverse, nationally eclectic art collection.

Dramatic Arabescatto Orobico and Honey Onyx stonework and bronze details add a contemporary counterpoint to the vintage mahogany wall panelling, marble checkerboard floors and ornate crystal fixtures, paying homage to the hotel’s illustrious past and serving to transport guests to an era of sophistication and charm.
