  • Bakehouse Sha Tin builds on the brand’s artisanal roots while introducing a bolder industrial character. Situated in New Town Plaza, the design reflects Bakehouse’s emphasis on community and craft through a palette of deep blue tiles, exposed brick, polished concrete, and timber accents. The layout combines bakery, bistro, and retail functions, creating a flexible environment that feels both functional and welcoming.

Central to the concept is transparency. An open kitchen anchors the space, allowing guests to observe the baking process and reinforcing the connection between product and craft.

A key challenge was translating Bakehouse’s intimate, street-level atmosphere into the scale of a shopping mall. The design addressed this through careful zoning and circulation planning, ensuring the space feels open and comfortable while retaining the brand’s familiar warmth.

The dining area is distinguished by a hand-drawn blue tile mural that introduces a playful, human element. The illustrations reference Bakehouse’s journey and team, adding a subtle layer of storytelling within the otherwise material-driven interior.
