Everest Siberia Restaurant
Maria Geyt Design Studio’s Everest Siberia Restaurant in Moscow harmoniously blends wabi-sabi aesthetics with vibrant Siberian accents, creating an inspiring, tactile environment centered around a striking 7.5-meter onyx bar.
The project’s goal is to create not just a restaurant, but a place of power and inspiration, offering guests comfort and aesthetic pleasure. The designers departed from conventional solutions, integrating the beauty of wabi-sabi imperfection with vibrant ethnic accents of Siberia. The result is a modern interior with authentic character.
The problem of the central entrance was solved by creating a walk-through area for the restrooms, optimizing guest flow. The interior utilizes natural materials: wood, stone, and metal, harmoniously combined with decorative plaster and imitation rock from Decoreo Group. This creates a tactile rich and visually engaging environment.
The centerpiece is an impressive 7.5-meter bar with an artificial onyx countertop (OnyxTop). Particular attention was paid to custom elements based on the designers’ sketches: a unique wooden panel, a big sofa, a vanity unit with unusual facades, a wardrobe, and moldings on the columns. These details give the interior a unique character.
Lighting, including Arlight technical lighting, creates a multi-layered atmosphere. Three uniquely shaped light fixtures highlight different zones. Bar stools from “Restoratsia” and thoughtful seating areas ensure comfort. This project is one of the most unusual and striking in the studio’s portfolio, demonstrating bold experimentation and a deep understanding of cultural codes in contemporary design.
