Brookfield Place – Main Floor and +15 Common Areas

As part of Brookfield Properties’ ongoing vision to enhance tenant experience and create more dynamic shared environments, Block Interior Design was engaged to reimagine the main floor and Level 15 common areas at Brookfield Place. The project focused on transforming these high-traffic shared spaces into welcoming, functional environments that support collaboration, connection, and moments of respite within the urban core.

The design approach emphasized spatial connection and fluidity, carefully balancing the building’s corporate character with hospitality-inspired elements. By introducing inviting lounge areas and café-style seating clusters, the redesigned spaces encourage informal interaction, social engagement, and flexible use throughout the day. These gathering zones were thoughtfully positioned to align with existing architecture and natural circulation paths, ensuring intuitive wayfinding and seamless integration within the building.

Materiality and detailing played a key role in achieving a cohesive and elevated experience. Custom millwork, curated furnishings, and carefully selected area rugs and upholstery were layered to add warmth, texture, and visual interest while complementing Brookfield Place’s existing architecture. Each element was meticulously detailed to maintain a refined, contemporary look that feels both sophisticated and approachable.

The result is a collection of modern shared spaces that bridge corporate and social atmospheres, offering tenants environments that support productivity, connection, and well-being. By transforming the main floor and Level 15 common areas into engaging, hospitality-driven destinations, the project reinforces Brookfield Properties’ commitment to enhancing the everyday experience of those seek it as a destination for business and everyday engagement.
