CREATE+CO re-envisioned the shared spaces at The Element to bring a renewed sense of energy, comfort, and modern character to this downtown residential tower. The design combines sculptural moments, warm natural materials, and playful touches to create an environment that feels elevated yet approachable for residents and guests.
The new lobby sets a welcoming tone with its fluid architectural forms and a striking wood feature wall that introduces warmth and movement. The reception desk mirrors this sculptural language, creating a cohesive focal point as residents enter the building. Soft seating areas with textured upholstery and layered lighting offer comfortable spots for gathering, waiting, or working. Lush greenery and carefully placed planters add a natural contrast that softens the strong architectural lines.
The mailroom and circulation areas maintain a calm, refined atmosphere through muted finishes and simple architectural details. Polished stone flooring and warm wood accents elevate the everyday functionality of these high-traffic spaces.
The amenity areas bring a completely different energy to the building. The game lounge is bold and vibrant, featuring a custom mural that celebrates Tampa’s personality. Exposed concrete walls, layered woods on the ceiling, and modern lighting give the space an urban, loft-like feel. Residents can move between shuffleboard, pool, or comfortable seating zones, all designed to encourage connection and activity.
Adjacent meeting and multipurpose rooms incorporate richer textures and darker tones for a more intimate setting. Sculptural lighting fixtures, patterned wallcoverings, and polished millwork create a refined backdrop for gatherings, coworking, or private events. These spaces strike a balance between style and function, offering residents flexible options beyond their individual units.
The pet relief area brings a fun, whimsical moment to the property with illustrated wall tile and a bright red hydrant that adds humor and personality. Durable materials keep the space practical while still integrating it thoughtfully into the building’s overall design.
