Fazenda Restaurant
Hon Interiors completed the Restaurant Fazenda as the author’s vision of a family tavern in a modern minimalistic interpretation.
The interior design is based on the medieval culture of a Russian city Veliky Novgorod, where the restaurant is located. Sand color scheme and natural wall texture is a reference to Novgorod’s architectural style of the 14th century, when a technology of plasterless limestone and brick laying was used. Natural shapes and hues are derived from Novgorod traditional handicrafts: ceramics, basket weaving, joinery and woodworks.
We put accents and introduced some details to make the interior more vibrant. Black lamps of natural shape were inspired by ceramic items. We made the interior more graphic and architectural by means of integrating tall lamps in the pillars. Thatch-imitating decorations give the interior cosy farm’s look.
