  • The new location of St. Petersburg Bar “Punk Brew” is located within a creative cluster in Vasilyevsky Island. This rectangular 300-square-metre space with a high vaulted ceiling and huge windows proved to be a great place for creating a spectacular interior.

The Punk Brew style has always been brutal and expressive. The brick walls, exposed utilities and rough welded metal elements emphasize it supremely well.

The project designers adopted a spatial concept formed by three detached premises. Two of these were indoors already: the first enclosed block hosts sanitary facilities; the second one accommodates an open kitchen.

The third space, in the centre, is based on a metal frame and encompasses several functions – the entrance vestibule, the podium for a DJ and the VIP area on the second tier. In addition, it divides the large space into two separate, more comfortable halls. The spiral staircase leading to the second tier of the facility (which offers an impressive view) has become an accentuating element.

All the lighting fixtures and the furniture, apart from the chairs, were custom-made, executed according to the sketches of the project developers. The selected chairs are manufactured in Russia: the metal chairs are the project of Delo Design studio in St. Petersburg; the wooden chairs WOX were created by a Ukrainian designer Pavel Vetrov – winner of the prestigious Red Dot Award 2020 in the field of furniture design.
LED signage and large-scale detailed graffiti with amusing themes are a significant component creating the urban, ‘rebellious’ character of the place.
