  • Studio Lizée-Hugot designed the Parisian restaurant Abstinence near École Militaire. They dreamed up an elegant, intimate décor for this eatery that seamlessly incorporates a mix of noble materials: wood, leather, stainless steel and marble.

The pair did a new take on a classic style, seeking a perfect balance by combining smooth and brushed textures. The wood paneling is made of oak and bird’s eye maple, while the wood floor contrasts with the lacquered ceiling and polished stainless steel chairs.

They also designed all the furniture: tall chairs and stools with cognac leather seats on polished stainless steel frames, a large bevel-cut sculptural bar made of Sarrancolin marble, enameled lava stone tabletops.

The palette of subtle colors conjures up a cinematic ambience and ’70s vibe.
