  • area / size 861 sqft
  • Year 2021
  • Location Gomel, Belarus,
  • This bar is the point where most types of local craft Belarussian beer are meet. We reverted to the Middle ages when hops became the most important component of beer and the mail brewing centers were monasteries. We wanted to capture this important phase of brewing. We mixed history and ethnicity here and together with our artist produced stained glass with Belarussian folk character Kupalinka who walks between the branches of hops. It’s a key visual anchor of our interior and one of the brightness elements of medieval art. Another materials in the interior we chose based on their reflective qualities to create a space with glare and colorful play of light.
