Indeed Tower Office and Amenity Spaces

Britt Design Group and Page Architect worked together to design the Indeed Tower Office and Amenity Spaces with creative installs and comfortable furniture.

Recently completed, the Indeed Tower delivers a vibrant mixed-use environment in the epicenter of Austin’s core business district. At 36 stories tall, the office building stands as the tallest and largest office tower in downtown Austin and offers tenants an unparalleled experience through its extensive office amenities, including a fitness center, dedicated conference center and outdoor terraces. Indeed Tower’s floor plates, at an average size of ~34,000 sq. ft., is among the largest in the market, making the project attractive to the growing tech tenant population while maintaining flexibility to appeal to more traditional office users. The public spaces (ground and second floor) were created by Page, DPR Construction, and Britt Design Group.

Britt Design Group curated furnishing space plans and designed the custom furnishings and finishes to coordinate with the architectural buildout of the voluminous public areas located on the ground floor and second floor.

A variety of lounge areas encourage conversation and engagement throughout the space. These areas respond to the building program and architectural conditions. Street facing seating areas activate the front façade of the building, while the larger lounge area adjacent to the courtyard accommodates large groups. The lower-level street facing areas are an active gathering space for visitors waiting for a quick meeting downstairs or to be escorted up into the tower. The auditorium style stair and meeting area provides a natural transition between the active entry areas and more passive courtyard connections.

Upstairs on the second floor a generous conference room provides a private and semi-transparent space for large meetings. A comfortable waiting area is provided at the top of the open staircase. In close proximity to the kitchen area and meeting rooms is an additional large gathering space for people to linger between training sessions and meetings. The oversized sofa with an intermittently open back creates a natural connection between the kitchen and lounge spaces. Custom benches located in the ‘overlooks’ incorporate similar design detailing as the standing height work tables and provide a spot to perch for a quick phone call or conversation. In contrast to the sleek architectural backdrop, strong sculptural shapes along with a variety of color and pattern in textiles add interest in the furnishings. Deep jewel tones bring color and interest to the project. Natural wood tones bring an element of Austin approachability to a more formal architectural backdrop.
