Jules Coffee Bar
With muted tones, and a modern bright layout, S-P-A-C-E designed the welcoming Jules Coffee Bar in Haarlem.
The balance in contrasts.
Although the Coffee bar is named after Renwe Jules, it is a project of both: Linda Tol and Renwe Jules. A couple in love & work.
Renwe is an accomplished (streetstyle) photographer, a talent he developed when he was living and working in Italian fashion capital Milan. He is passionate about fashion and a self-confessed coffee addict. He became a serious barista following his love for coffee.
Linda was one of the very first style influencers and street style stars at international fashion weeks. Today she is also a digital creative and brand consultant for the likes of Chanel and Dior. She launched her own highly coveted eyewear brand called Tol Eyewear.
After a successful collaboration for TOL eyewear, Linda called upon Pepijn Smit of S-P-A-C-E to create the concept & design for this coffee bar. Defining the outlines taste & personal style, the concept became based upon the balans in the contrast. It’s minimal but with emotion. It’s smooth but warm. Sharp but light. And soft yet very precise. A calming should atmosphere that gives energy.
Using sharp lines with soft edges. A pebble wall bases on their love for the 70’s. Soft and tactile materiality.
