  • As a response to the more discerning passenger and growing trends popularizing the hospitality of travel, Corgan partnered with Airport Dimensions and LGA Partners and Turner Construction for The Club CLT at Charlotte Douglas International Airport to create an elevated experience celebrating North Carolina’s cuisines, history, and culture. Balancing comfort and beauty with function and technology, the lounge features luxurious furniture and finishes, iconic references to local views and culture, and passenger amenities to relax and connect.

With a modern sensibility and a dose of southern charm, this hidden gem offers several moments that delight and inspire. A rich green and blue pallet mirror the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains under a shimmering gold ripple ceiling with pendant lights casting reflections of the Carolina Gold Rush. A double porch swing offers a quiet respite and leather banquettes and an expansive bar beckons travelers to select from local dining and specialty beverage options. Dividers etched in a latticework pattern create private spaces for guests to kick back in rockers and barrel club chairs while chaise lounges overlook the airfield, giving passengers a place to relax and recharge. For those who need to plug in, powered seating and free Wi-Fi, a stand-up tech center, and soundproof privacy pods offer a strong mix of spaces for the modern traveler.

With airport lounges like The Club CLT, the upscale hospitality trend raises the bar on how we approach airport travel — challenging the design to offer the technology and operational needs of the modern air traveler while providing a hospitality destination experience that introduces passengers to the region.
