  • Location Krakow, Poland,
  • Type Hotel,
  • A modern, urban, lifestyle hotel, on the one hand strictly representing the Hyatt Place brand and the Hyatt chain, on the other – boldly experimenting with this image and presenting it in a fresh, unpretentious way. The hotel is targeted at young travelers looking for an extraordinary lifestyle and design experience. It combines the modern, elegant style with urban, industrial elements and – as the Krakow tradition obliges – a dose of artistic expression. Designers creatively interpreted the slogan “Urban Jungle” and saturated the interior with references to local history and culture.

Hyatt Place is a 4-star select-service hotel brand. Currently, over 400 hotels operate under its banner, most of which are located in the USA, and only 10 in Europe. The opening of the hotel in Krakow was therefore an important event, which is associated with both the expansion of the brand on the Old Continent and the return of the Hyatt chain to Poland after eight years. Therefore, the facility was to stand out with its design and attract guests, and at the same time fully represent Hyatt Place – for example by referring to the colors from the brand’s palette.

According to the investor’s wishes, local accents were to appear in the project but presented in a fresh way, attractive to the target group of Hyatt Place customers. The hotel was supposed to be urban, lifestyle, modern, and elegant. “Urban Jungle” – one of several permanent motifs interpreted by interior designers of Hyatt Place hotels – has become a brace that perfectly connects many distinguishing features of this hotel. The interior design of Hyatt Place Kraków is built on many contrasts. On the one hand, we have the urban, industrial rawness of architectural concrete, resin, corten, metal mesh, and pressed sheet metal. On the other – elegant walnut wood, sandstone, travertine, and marble. Energetic, varied, colorful common areas differ greatly from subdued conference rooms and relaxing guest rooms. The rooms, although much toned down compared to the bar, restaurant, or lobby, continue the thread of the discussion between urban and cozy. We have comfortable beds, sofas, upholstered headboards, carpets, and above all, a bare concrete ceiling and visible electrical installations.
