  • Seafood and wine restaurant “Yonshin Fudopia” is meticulously renovated from the old warehouse at Kaohsiung Harbor in Taiwan, and explored a novel concept of combining restaurant dining with interactive art through a large screen display linked to the wine cabinet. The imagery of the harbor and ships is reinterpreted by Le Monde Workshop with vintage chic style and contemporary expression that celebrates the building’s history.

Upon entering the restaurant, a cinematic corridor adorned with nearly 150 pendant lights leads guests into this luxurious and refined space. The interior features intense colors, wood grain patterns, and stainless steel decorations, creating a distinct atmosphere that merges retro nostalgia with modern fashion. This design ethos underscores the brand’s commitment to innovating traditional Taiwanese seafood cuisine. The VIP room and wine cellars on both sides maintain the same unique design, ensuring a cohesive experience throughout.

The main dining area boasts a vaulted ceiling, velvet couch seating, and stainless steel perforated door panels, incorporating nautical symbols into the intricate details. Specially selected tiles with patterns symbolizing drifting islands serve as tabletops; while stained wood veneers representing waves adorn wall paneling. Retaining the original cement floor of the old warehouse pays tribute to the culture of the Kaohsiung Harbor.

The renowned Bito studio, recipient of ADC Awards, was invited to create an interactive technological art installation for the large screen above the wine cabinet. Whenever guests select wine from the cabinet, the screen gradually displays dreamy bubbles and leisurely schooling fish from the deep sea scenery, evoking the core brand concept of “Yonshin Fudopia” centered around seafood and wine.

Outside, a spacious seaside terrace awaits, furnished with navy-and-white-striped sofas and rope-woven seats. Guests can enjoy delicate seafood and various types of wine while admiring breathtaking ocean views, feeling the gentle sea breeze, and indulging in the relaxed pace of seaside living.
