Mastrogiannis Distillery & Winery Tasting Room

Nestled in the heart of downtown North Bend, Washington State the new Mastrogiannis Distillery & Winery Tasting Room celebrates heritage, craftsmanship, and the warmth of Mediterranean hospitality. The concept was inspired by the owners’ Greek roots and family recipes passed down through generations — a narrative thoughtfully translated into both the design and the guest experience.

At the heart of the space stands a striking custom bar, where the Greek key motif—a timeless symbol of unity and eternity—was reinterpreted in the bar back shelving to echo the distillery’s logo and identity. A palette of rustic textures, warm wood tones, and deep Mediterranean greens evokes a sense of authenticity and comfort, while handcrafted materials add tactile richness throughout.

The rustic backsplash tile, extending from countertop to ceiling, creates visual depth and contrast against the dark green bar front tile, grounding the space in both tradition and modern refinement. The building itself, a local landmark, features an exposed original ceiling that was preserved as part of the design, adding character and a connection to the site’s history.

Completing the atmosphere, a hand-painted mural depicting olive branches and the symbolic Greek evil eye serves as a focal artwork — an homage to Greek culture and a gesture of protection and good fortune. Guests are invited to enjoy craft cocktails made from family recipes, each one telling its own story of heritage and passion.

The result is a tasting room that feels both contemporary and timeless: a space where every detail celebrates tradition, design, and the enduring art of craft distillation.
