  • LlamaBar DC is a light-filled café designed to bring biophilic principles into an urban setting. Drummond Projects organized the interior to maximize daylight through expansive glazing, creating an open and airy atmosphere. Wood wall paneling and custom millwork provide warmth and texture, defining circulation paths and seating zones while enhancing the tactile quality of the space.

Seating ranges from communal tables to intimate nooks, supporting flexible use and social interaction. Integrated plantings throughout the café reinforce the connection to nature, while carefully considered lighting enhances the sense of openness and highlights architectural details. LlamaBar DC demonstrates how materiality, spatial organization, and natural light can create a serene, engaging café experience.
