Many Little
Polperro Winery’s all-day bistro Many Little was designed by Hecker Guthrie drawing inspiration from the beautiful rural surroundings of Red Hill.
Harvested from the established rich heritage of Polperro Winery, Many Little is a fine edition to a lineage of iconic placemaking within Red Hill. Set in the incredibly unique and inimitable location on the Peninsula (in Victoria), this new venture sits adjacent the established restaurant.
Overlooking enviable views of the adjoining vineyard, the restaurant is dotted with intimate spaces, catering from both local and visiting clientele. Drawing inspiration from the diverse rural setting, the emphasis is on introducing a refined element to all the details and their execution. The views of the muted green landscape perfectly frame the internal palette, bringing the beauty of the surrounds inward through textural brick, terrazzo and rich timber elements.
Objects and furniture were placed within the restaurant, to create a varying landscape of enclosures, incorporating a sense of the artisan or craft in the detailing of each element – a handmade quality. These are the elements in each project that we gain the most satisfaction from.
From previous extensive experience, Hecker Guthrie has found that wine-people are inherently passionate people. And from this, the best relationships are founded. Many Little is the product of a shared passion for an experience that connects guest to its source.
