  • Jänkä Resort is a luxury nature-focused resort in Äkäslompolo, near the Ylläs fell region. Jänkä offers peaceful, high-end accommodation and immersive Arctic experiences rather than a large, activity-packed resort.

Jänkä is a prime example of a new generation of hospitality projects in Lapland. In the past, the region’s main attractions were Santa Claus and skiing. Today, however, visitors are increasingly seeking authentic nature experiences, peace, and an opportunity to slow down and disconnect from the pace of everyday life. Local culinary traditions have also become an essential part of the overall travel experience.

Jänkä´s safari house, designed by Fyra, functions as a reception and restaurant. Restaurant´s menu celebrates the flavours of Lapland through local ingredients such as reindeer, Arctic fish, wild mushrooms, berries, and foraged herbs and has quickly become one of Ylläs’s most distinctive dining destinations too. Fyra also contributed to the concept design of the outdoor yard area.
