The Loft Event Space, Amsterdam
TANK developed the design concept for The Loft within the A’DAM Tower, a highly versatile event space for guests in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
What if an event space was a party pad where you could sleep over? The Loft reimagines an event venue on the upper floors of the A’DAM Tower into a penthouse with a dash of rockstar flair. Every room is versatile and can flex from a corporate conference or a wedding location to an overnight private sanctuary.
Entering the double-height living room, guests will be awed by a sublime panorama of Amsterdam, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and an open-plan layout. The living room accommodates up to 225 people and allows endless configurations, from a dance floor or a sumptuous dinner to a large-scale seminar. This level is equipped with a generous green marble kitchen that can double as a bar, and an infinity lounge sofa accented by a bespoke vertical chandelier. Quirky styling features, such as a statement black piano, a record library, electric guitars and neon lights infuse a rockstar panache.
Ascending the custom-designed staircases is an experience in itself, which offers unrivaled views of Amsterdam’s waterfront. The upper floor holds the master suite and the guest bedroom that can adapt to different corporate or social functions. The master bedroom is complete with a freestanding bathtub and sweeping views of the city. By pulling down a portion of the ceiling to create a tabletop, the bathtub becomes an impromptu meeting table. Each room features a regenerating shower experience with even more views onto the city. On this floor, the patrons can also find the Press Room, an executive presentation suite with its very own cocktail bar.
The Loft’s interior palette contrasts sophisticated materials, such as leather, wood, marble and herringbone parquet, with a raw industrial envelope, enriched with reclaimed details like antique shutters and collected curiosities. Whether hosting a board of directors or throwing a party like a star, the Loft can do it all in style.
