Happyhappyjoyjoy Zuidas

A fun environment fit for a meal, drink, or even karaoke, concrete worked with JPS.architecten to bring Happyhappyjoyjoy Zuidas to the Crowne Plaza Hotel Amsterdam.

This brand new happyhappyjoyjoy is set amidst the busy, international business hub of Amsterdam. Located at the ground floor of the Crowne Plaza hotel, it functions as a central meeting point for locals, hotel guests and office workers alike. The explosion of colours, print and objects form the perfect setting for a power lunch, casual dinner or all-night Friday drinks. As in other happyhappyjoyjoy restaurants, the menu contains a big variety of small dishes, from all over Asia. From rain-baos to dimsum, curries or rendang, to mix, match and share together.

Entering this restaurant will submerge you instantly in a completely different world, never a dull moment here; both on the menu and in the upbeat interior there is a lot to discover. On arrival, guests are welcomed by the hosts, who will guide them to a table of choice. Intimate corner tables, curved booths set in an island sofa for small groups, high seats for a quick bite or even a calming water view at one of the big windows.

The island bar is a welcoming haven for all guests, set between the main entrance and the Crowne Plaza Hotel, open for drinks and food. Going in under the bright coloured lightbox sealing, an iconic island sofa featuring bamboo plants holds four booths. On the back wall the glass fridges display exotic drinks, framed by reclaimed wooden shutters. Moving towards the water view, the iconic ceiling covered in back-lit red parasols in combination with the wallpapered walls create a cosy atmosphere.

If the waving lucky cats didnʼt get you smiling, a night of karaoke surely will. As a special treat at this location of happyhappyjoyjoy, there is a private room fully equipped with karaoke set-up. The many carefully designed details give this restaurant a truly immersive experience, from the numbered menu to the Korean soft drinks and brightly coloured condiments.

When spring hits Amsterdam, the big terrace will be the place to be. As the square has full sun during both lunch and cocktail hour, you can -beside good food & drinks- also catch some rays. The perfect place for lunch, drinks or dinner in the business district of Amsterdam
