Alma Cocina Buckhead

Located within Buckhead’s bustling Terminus development at the corner of Peachtree and Piedmont Roads, Alma Cocina Buckhead continues the tradition of its original location, Alma Cocina Downtown, by serving both the energy and the cuisine of Latin America. Alma Cocina Buckhead, being designed by Atlanta’s ASD|SKY, draws inspiration from the lightness and fun of Latin American culture and its environments by evoking the casual, vibrant, and fun characteristics throughout the airy exposed space of the architectural shell. It will include special elements throughout its mechanically-exposed space that form familiar pockets and niches with which both large and small groups and families can gather like when in a good friend’s kitchen. Its large, central, low-ceiling bar with a floating rebar cage and industrial lights will bring in the more rustic and handmade aspects of Latin America, while lightly distressed driftwood-like millwork and greenery will contrast and bring warmth. Both within and especially around its perimeter, Alma Cocina Buckhead will be anchored with the contrast of lush greenery and iron-like metalwork. Elements such as hand-formed brick, antiqued mirror, neutral patterning, Mexican tile, stone, and concrete will mix together to create a lively space for drinks and meals. Following a complete redesign of the restaurant’s streetscape, Alma Cocina Buckhead will also offer ample patio seating in an unexpected setting with wood, concrete, and steel slats offset by plants and Corten planters, combined with a true connection.
