  • Location Mexico City, Mexico,
  • Type Restaurant,
  • Located in the Condesa neighborhood, Rita la Pizza Fritta unfolds as an exercise in spatial precision and architectural dialogue. The project transforms the ground floor of an old building, where the main challenge was to convert a 55 m² interior space into an immersive gastronomic experience.

The design pays homage to Chef Luis Delgado’s culinary concept: introducing Neapolitan fried pizza to Mexico. The floor plan is divided into a precise binomial of an open kitchen and dining area, making the preparation process the visual and narrative core of the space. This programmatic distribution blurs traditional boundaries, allowing users to witness the artisanal technique from any angle.

Outwardly, the proposal extends through a perimeter planter that acts as a green threshold, increasing operational capacity and linking the establishment to urban life. The interior design establishes a material conversation with the building’s preexistence; through a cohesive chromatic palette and entirely custom-designed furniture, the project achieves an aesthetic synthesis in which both technical and ambient lighting sculpt the space, creating a vibrant atmosphere that transcends its physical scale.
